A DELUSIONAL REALITY

A Simi-Fictional Tale of Imagined Recollections of How a middle-aged Lady Reunited with Her Core

Few years ago, I quietly started a journey back to my roots in hope of finding the pieces of my core which had been stripped away from me in so many ways. Because of that, I did not know which direction to head at the start of that journey. What was clear, was the fact that I had little or no tangible resources at the time but held a deep firm mentality that life must go on no matter what. But the question of sustainability and a quality of life that could allow a person to envision the present and the future was next to non-existence without my 'past.' This created a paradoxical space in my tightly held mentality that the past is a reference to our current state of being when we need wisdom to navigate through a current event, but it is not necessary for building a future drastically different from it, if the individual chooses. Now, normally, with this mentality, this should not be a paradox, but for me, it clearly was. And so, the next question was why? Luckily, it did not take too long to discover the answer to this why.

A paradox existed here because nearly all of the pieces of my core that was stripped away, contained essential foundational elements that formed my roots. Additionally, and perhaps crucially, these were planted in the early years of my life, and they were building blocks I used every time I wanted to introduce something new to my core. It is fair to say that without them, many substitutions or unhealthy trades was entering into my inner~spa without being properly vetted. What a mess. Long story short, 'I got up, stood up, stood up to find the missing pieces of my cord.' (You know, like a little remix of Bob Marley song.) Anyways, the good news is, that I did find the pieces of my core that I went searching for. Yes, I made multiple stops as they were all over the place. But every time I found one, it got easier finding the others, for reasons I am sure you can guess.

When I found them, were they in good shape? The short answer here is NO! Not at all.  Metaphorically speaking, the external shells of my kernels were cracked, had scratches, and basically looked used and then tossed away. For better, I picked them all up and molded the pieces back on the near emptied board of my core, with my eyes closed. You see folks, I knew exactly where each piece belonged. Now, I would like to tell you they have totally recovered, but that would be a lie. However, I can tell you this though, they are recovering very well. And under my care, you can rest assure they will be nurtured back to par as though they never left. You see, by God's grace, my roots are cemented and in place. I must admit that it is with this grace that I hope all my pieces continue to flourish after fully recovering. Meanwhile, as for me, externally, I am still some-kind of degree cracked. But after it all, I don't mind waiting for a visual repair that is as cemented as the invisible inner~spa of a mended spirit.
